This Standard Flower Show — with 40 judged designs and a collection of horticulture — will be held in the Garden Center Auditorium at Zilker Botanical Garden.  Exhibits and horticulture are judged by Nationally Accredited Flower Show Judges. All Garden Council members and other interested gardeners are invited to enter the show. Reservations must be made with the Flower Show Chairman, Sandra Holt. (Schedule is available in the Gift Shop at the Garden Center).

Division I  – Design
Designers interpret “Shall We Dance”

Section A  – Yesterday's Dances

Class 1  – "Minuet" (A miniature design of any style; 5" in height, width, or depth; all fresh material)
Class 2  – "Jitterbug" (A small stretch design; may not exceed 8" in height, width, or depth)
Class 3  – "Square Dance" (A miniature design of any style; 5" in height, width, or depth)

Section B - Every Step a Dance

Class 4  – "The Two Step"(A multi-rhythmic design)
Class 5  – "The Ballet"   (A creative line or a creative line mass design interpreting a Ballet of your choice)
Class 6  – "The Big Apple"   (A creative design incorporating fruits and/or vegetables)

Section C - Happy Feet

Class 7 – "Country and Western"  (An exhibition table, Type II, no decorative unit but some plant material must be included where needed.)
Class 8  – "The Twist" (A hanging design, Type II, Kinetic. A freely moving design suspended from a  hook within a frame of the designer's choice.)
Class 9 – "The Tango"   (A creative design staged in any manner the designer chooses within the allotted space.)

Designs in Section D, Class 10 are reserved for Novice Arrangers only (one who has never won a blue ribbon in the Design Section of a Standard Flower Show).  Staged on a table covered in white plastic.  Allotted space is 30" side, 28" deep and 48" high.
 
This section is open to the public, but must acquire permission from Show Chairman to make a reservation.

Section D  – Dance Fever
Novice Arrangers only – those who have not won a blue ribbon

Class 10 – "Line Dance" (Any design style – fresh, dried, or fresh and dried, allotted space is 30"  wide.)

Heart O' Texas Orchid Society (at entry to the Flower Show)
Large display of orchids

Austin Cactus & Succulent Society (in The Greene Room)
Display of plants with spines that store water in their stems and/or leaves

Austin Bonsai Society (in The Greene Room)
Display and a demonstration of the art of creating these beautiful trees
